This shared reading experience helps build not only literacy skills, but also a strong sense of community and compassion among my students.\r\n\r\nIt's moments like this that remind us how impactful and meaningful support from others can be. I knew going into kindergarten that my entire setup was going to have to change. Kinders have a short attention span and need so much hands-on experience, which calls for materials that I didn't have in the classroom. In addition, we don't use individual desks in kindergarten, so easy and convenient storage is a big issue!\r\n\r\nWalking into kindergarten this year, my families were dazzled by color coordinated, labeled bins with all their workbooks in easy access for me to reach. Center time is streamlined with color coordinated trays. We did our first real art project this week with painting sticks and the cleanup was such a breeze! No messy paint brushes and bowls! School only just started, so we are still working on routines. Next week, I will be introducing them to a new art literacy station where they can use the paint sticks, dot markers and sand to interact with letters!","fullyFundedDate":1746508097529,"projectUrl":"project/kinder-revamp/9308226/","projectTitle":"Kinder Revamp","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Orth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp370317_orig.jpg?crop=2448,2448,x0,y408&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689542116189","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/meghan-orth"},{"teacherId":2948909,"projectId":9180144,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the amazing books.
