My Project

My students are fifth graders in an inner city school in Denver, Colorado. Each year for our Ecosystem unit we create terrariums for a simulated environment. In the past we have used plastic, food containers that have not been very successful.

This year we would like to use real, glass terrariums to create more realistic, thriving, sustainable environments.

My students would love to personalize and experiment with different types of plants, fungi, and possibly insects. They will love the opportunity to create an environment that feels more realistic and sustainable.
