This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Ten teeter-totters will make a meaningful difference in my Pre-K students’ learning by giving them safe, hands-on opportunities to develop balance, coordination, core strength, and body awareness.

Our goal for this project is to provide more opportunities for purposeful movement during the school day, helping students build confidence, practice sharing, turn-taking, and gradually strengthen early social-emotional skills through guided, cooperative play.

My students are special because they are at an important stage of learning foundational skills for the first time. They are naturally curious and benefit from simple, active experiences that support their social, physical, and academic growth.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
