My Students

First year Special Needs (ESE / VE) Elementary Teacher. My classroom is a place where the statement, "every child is unique," is truly a reality. The level of varying abilities changes daily in my room.

My students are labeled as Special Needs students who have varying abilities and needs that have to met.

I teach very unique students who all have different personalities and learning priorities. The grades range from Kindergarten to 5th grade. My school is considered "Title 1." We have limited resources available for the students. My two major goals for my students this year is to not only boost their knowledge in core subjects, but to boost their self esteem as well. I have students who struggle with not only learning delays, but poor thoughts about themselves as well. My class is a very positive family type of environment, in which the students are progressing in since many of them lack this type of setting at home. I encourage all of the students to work as a family unit and grow together in both academics and social skills.

My Project

My class consists of so many levels of learners in regards to grades (K-5) and intelligence level. I feel my students would benefit greatly from having a piece of technology that could be used in a very adaptive way. The tablets can hold a plethora of resources that are accessible at a touch. The needs of these students change daily, and my class is in need of a resource that can change and adapt as quickly as they do. With these tablets, my students who already have a lack of want to do school work, will be more willing to complete assignments if it is attached and connected to technology.
