My Students

My students are amazing and eager learners! The majority of my students are from low-income families, many speaking languages other than English and some living in difficult situations. Despite these obstacles, they come to school everyday with smiles on their faces, ready to learn.

My students come to school wondering what we are going to learn about today!

They enter the room looking around to see what new activities are ready for them to work on. I try to make my classroom a place the students are eager to come to every school day!

My Project

This iPad will provide my students with an additional approach to learning in my classroom.

My students who have special needs or are trying to learn the English language benefit from as many visual examples as I can provide them.

By having an iPad in the classroom, I will be able to project examples of topics we are discussing. For example, when we are talking about farm animals, many of my students have never had the opportunity of visiting a farm. But with the iPad, I will be able to project pictures and show videos of actual farms. Also, I will use the iPad to take pictures of my students engaged in various activities throughout the year that I can share with their families ... and the students themselves, because 4-year olds love to see pictures and videos of themselves! :)
