My Students

Our school is a Title I school, with a wide range of demographics. Many of our students have extremely limited access to technology, receive free/reduced lunch, and are apart of the Friday Backpack program (used for those students who may not have enough resources at home for the weekend).

Even with all these challenges our students face, they still come to school with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and hope for the future.

These students deserve someone to take a chance on them. They deserve manipulatives, 21st century learning tools, and advanced technology in the classroom, as well as in after school activities. They deserve an opportunity to think and act as a future engineer, doctor, or lawyer would. They deserve these things, because they did not place themselves in this situation but are trying very desperately to get out.

My Project

Students at our middle school are very excited about robotics. Our team members were able to imagine, create, build, and program a robot of their very own and generate a solution to a global problem and present the solution in front of judges and community members. Our solution from this past year won most innovative project at the regional competition!

Our students have the drive and tenacity to continue competing and excelling at robotics.

They are ready for the 2018-2019 FIRST Lego League competition. We just need a way to get there. We need your help to register and provide the board/mission pieces so our students can continue working on what they started last year. We can't wait to see what is in store for this years season.
