My Students

My students come from a difficult demographic in Utah! They are inspiring, creative, intelligent, amazing, kids who love learning and crave engaging activities. Many of the families in this area struggle financially and many are single families. My students deserve every opportunity to learn and build the future they are after! These energetic 3rd graders love to read, draw, run, and learn. They love sharing their ideas and being part of our classroom community. Most of all, I love being their teacher.

My Project

Technology is becoming more and more important, and has been shown to be extremely beneficial to kids and their learning.

Something that young kids struggle with often (when using provided Chromebooks) is the fine motor skills required to use a standard trackpad.

They often get frustrated if they ever need to drag and drop, zoom, scroll, and other small motor functions to successfully use their computers. Computer mice are the perfect solution to help them be successful, and even more; a wireless mouse eliminates a lot of potential with fraying cords and other shortcomings with technology and little kids.

Additionally, Boogie Boards are the PERFECT way for kids to follow along, practice, and work out problems without having to use up a lot of resources such as paper, markers, whiteboards, etc. They would be incredibly useful for both language and math practice which makes them an incredibly useful resource to have in the classroom!
