My students love reading! The skills that are taught with these books are fluency and sight words. Students are able to practice reading these books and work on their fluency and sight words. They motivated to do this because they are books that they are interested in.\r\n\r\nWe start the day with a stop and read after we do morning work which students get books from my school library and read. We also do reading during reading centers. Students get excited during centers and some need the room more quiet and cozy. So, the noise cancelling head phones work well to help students be able to read books comfortably without worrying about noise.\r\n\r\nA lot of my students that love these books because they help them to want to read. There were some that did not want to go to my reading library because they weren't interested in reading. The graphic novels help them to want to read because they are books that they are interested in.
