This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Learning a team sport will excite students to stay fit and work together. Team sports are a great way to build relationships and have fun. My students love being on a team sport. Our intramural program is quite robust. We have the usual team sports, but we would like to expand our intramural team sports program. My students thrive to be active and learn new skills. Not only are they athletes, but they also participate in intramurals. They love exercising and finessing their skills. They understand the importance of being on a team and thrive for competition.

Team sports and intramurals are all about teamwork and building interpersonal skills.

Students are encouraged to display good sportsmanship and courtesy during class and intramurals. Team sports class is important to many students as it helps build self-esteem and character. Many students take the role of team captain and encourage everyone to play with integrity and full potential. The students select their own games and decide what will be played during the season. T-shirts are a must for the students and it shows pride and unity in the school. They are often worn during play and students have input in designing the t-shirts.

My Project

Students hope to include more students in team sports by providing team t-shirts. The t-shirts have been designed by students and we will wear them during tournaments. They like to exercise and want everyone to come out to play with them. They get to play fun sports like basketball and football. Some of them give up their lunches just to bond and have fun every day.

They want everyone to have a say in the type of sports that they can play.

Many of them form their own teams and decide as a group what should be played next. Team Sports encourage all students to come play with them at lunch and after school. Students are learning leadership and team skills.

By encouraging students to join a team sport in intramurals, the students will learn a new sport and stay healthy and active. It is nice to have an activity to bond with your peers. They want to play sports and encourage everyone in the school to exercise and have fun. School isn't just about the books. It's important to be active and team sports allow students to have a good time with each other.
