The students in my class are creative, hardworking, on the go young children. They range from students who are special education students to those who are above and beyond grade level. My class often loves to do their work while using technology. They are so eager to learn once they have a laptop or iPad at their fingertips!
My goal as a fourth-grade teacher is to provide them with the ability to have access to this technology and allow them to thrive in a technology driven world.
It is wonderful to watch students use this technology to increase both their reading and math skills! They are such driven young children and when they are able to type up their writing or do their math assignments online it becomes very engaging for them! It's awesome to watch their engagement increase through the use of these technology driven tools. My students are incredibly hard working and eager to learn with the right tools!
These Chromebooks will be such a great addition to our classroom! My students love to complete their work in small group settings. I often try to incorporate technology into these as often as possible. They are even more intrigued and engaged in the material they work on when it's on a computer screen! Not only does it allow them to learn, but it's learning on a device they already love.
Allowing my students to have a technology station on a daily basis for reading, writing, and math will allow them to thrive in a technology driven world!
Our current math interventions and curriculum have a wonderful online aspect and allowing the students to work with these on a daily basis will only help increase their mathematical skills! It also will help to increase their typing skills and prepare them for a future where computer skills are essential!
