This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My 4th grade students are amazing. They come from unique backgrounds and cultures that bring life to my math and science lessons. They work very hard to overcome economic and diversity challenges on a daily basis. They love to learn and have established a strong safe community within my classroom.
My school is a Title One school that has a limited budget.
I am looking to enhance their student learning experience so they can use technology and tools that will help them relate to the world around them.
My Project
This LEGO set will engage my students while teaching basic STEM concepts. Many of my students have seen LEGOS but may not have had the economic means to ever have one of their own. Being able to come to school and use this common toy for educational purposes will help solidify the concept in a fun relevant way they will remember.
Playing while you learn is the basis for early learning concepts.
I want my students to see that it is fun and cool to be in school. Funding this project could spark a lot of engineeering, Science, and Math with a student the may change the world.
