These items may seem like simple everyday supplies, but in our Early Childhood Special Education classroom, they have made an incredible difference.\r\n\r\nMany of my students are still developing the skills to communicate their wants and needs. Hunger, thirst, or needing assistance with toileting can quickly become a barrier to learning. Having snacks and cups readily available allows us to meet those basic needs so students can return their attention to classroom activities. Pull-ups and wipes allow us to support students with dignity and compassion while we work on toileting and self-help goals.\r\n\r\nWe have been able to create consistent routines where students learn to request a snack or drink, make choices, wait for a turn, clean up after themselves, follow directions, and participate in daily self-care routines. These everyday moments become meaningful learning opportunities in an ECSE classroom.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your generosity helped create a classroom where our students' needs are met and they are ready to learn. Every snack eaten, cup filled, pull-up changed, and wipe used represents a child who was cared for and able to continue participating in their school day.\r\n\r\nYou didn't simply donate classroom supplies. You removed barriers to learning. You supported independence. You gave us more opportunities to teach. And you helped our students have successful days at school.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and helping us give them the support they deserve.
