My Project

My students are learning how to tell stories through video, broadcasting, and digital media, and this drone will give them the opportunity to expand those skills beyond the walls of our classroom. With access to aerial video, students will be able to capture unique perspectives of school events, athletics, campus activities, and community stories while learning real-world production techniques used by professional media teams.

This project will help students develop skills in shot composition, camera movement, planning, teamwork, safety, editing, and visual storytelling.

More importantly, it will give them another creative tool to make their productions more engaging and professional. The drone will become part of our student media program and will be used across a variety of projects, giving many students hands-on experience with technology they may not otherwise have the opportunity to use.
