My Project

This project is geared towards getting the supplies we need to help my 2nd-grade students. Some of my students have learning disabilities or have been in remote learning settings in the past. Our current class has a 25 student roster.

This year, our school's budget was cut by over $500,000 and our class sizes have doubled, while staffing has decreased.

This makes having enough supplies for each student increasingly difficult.

We use dry erase markers and laminating pouches to practice writing words, sentences, and doing math problems. We also use child scissors to complete craft projects. Our school printer is black and white so we purchased a color one for our room. As most teachers know, color ink tends to run out quickly and is quite expensive to replace. Our student folders look pretty beat up by this time of year as well. The tissues will help us during the winter cold months and spring allergy season. At this time of year, we are running out of all of these items.

We have been very lucky to receive donations in the past and our favorite donations are those that bring us the supplies that we so desperately need. We appreciate the generosity of caring strangers beyond words!
