These materials will provide a more hands-on learning experience for my general education, special education and English as a New Language students. Most of my students learn best through the use of manipulatives, visuals and other hands-on experiences. We are in need of STEM materials to help science come to life. My students enjoy building and creating. I would love to show them how their science knowledge comes into play when creating and testing models. We also can use the magnetic number bonds and addition machine to bring some excitement to place value and operations. These are often the most challenging math units. My students also seem to gain motivation to work by the use of flexible seating. I currently have a few options in my classroom; however, more options would be more beneficial to their learning. I am hoping to provide the most engaging, motivating experience to help my students achieve both socially and academically.
