This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to play soccer. Each recess period you will see mass amounts of students engaged in the sport. Basketball is also a sport that most enjoy playing.

In a world where student interactions are diminishing due to technologies that keep their eyes peeled to a video screen, sport is a way to bring children together, to interact, and learn how to communicate with each other.

Here are a few student learning objectives that will be worked on with the materials donated to my program:

NACS 2.5.1 Recognize critical elements of movement skills.

NACS 3.5.2 Demonstrate healthy activity patterns by participating in physical activity.

NACS 1.5.2 Perform manipulative skills in simple combinations.
