Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are planning our first Black Hair Expo and we need your support. The Black Hair Expo will be lead by freshman - seniors with a panel and live demos for protecting and managing hair.

Natural Hair Club has become an infinity space for students to learn about Black Hair Culture.

We want to bring awareness to tending to Black Hair to the greater school community.

We received full funding with our last fundraiser . We have so many students who would love to be participants of the class that we don't have enough space to host the school. Our students would like to host an Expo in late April or early May. Students attending would learn about maintenance of hair , participate in wellness , tutorials and a student panel. We want to be able to give away products, goodie bags and resources to all the attendees. We know we are working with a short time frame but we are hopeful!

We already have created a Shea butter and have samples ready to share. Help our students create a hair expo that will expose their talents to public speaking , entrepreneurship and more. This will be our closing event for the year and we hope to make it a staple event at our school in the future !
