This is true of my students.
My six students are all on the autism spectrum and have many different requirements concerning communication, behavior, and sensory needs. My goal is to teach my students how to communicate to the best of their ability, and to socialize with their peers while focusing on academics and daily living skills. I push them to be as independent as they can be in all aspects of their lives.
My Project
Having a child with autism can be overwhelming to any parent. One way I can make the start of school easier on the parents of my students is to assist them in getting school supplies for their child. My school is a Title I school and many of our students come from low-income homes. Buying school supplies is a struggle for them and not something they should worry about.
Every student should start the year off with all the supplies that will help them to have a successful year.
Students will be able to utilize the pencils and notebooks while learning to write their names, letters the alphabet and numbers. The construction paper, glue, crayons and colored pencils will give my students the chance to express themselves during art.
With your help my students will have the essentials supplies needed for the school day.
