My Project

My students come from an area that is heavily impacted by poverty. One of the last things that I want them to worry about is how they will get school supplies for this upcoming school year. Obtaining school supplies is often a challenge for my families during the best of times, adding the current increased financial struggles many families are facing into the mix is going to make obtaining them near impossible for so many of these families.

It is extremely difficult to achieve success when you don't even have the needed supplies to start the new school year strong.

Many of these kids are worrying about where their next meal is coming from. I don't want them to have to think about if they will have folders, notebooks, and pencils for class. This project will provide those as well as crayons, markers, and pens. Let's try to remove any extra burden that we can during these trying times.
