Learning in classrooms is no longer the sit down silently at desks in straight rows while the teacher instructs from the front board teaching style of the past. Now it is interactive; it is fun, and it should be comfortable. That's where this project comes into play. My students need a rug that is large enough to fit everyone. A rug will help provide them with a comfortable place to grow both as learners and as people. A classroom rug promotes a classroom community by allowing for a more relaxed family type of setting. Dry erase boards for the class will allow full interactive instruction to take place on the new rug. The students will be able to bring their thoughts, work, and ideas with them away from the desks to be shown interactively on these new boards. As a large class, we also need to be able to properly take care of our supplies. In order to do this within our limited classroom space, we need containers to keep everything organized.
