Help me give my students a teacher laptop, student lap desks, crates, HDMI cords, laminating pouches, pillows, a book, and a pencil sharpener to support a successful school year.

My Project

Assessments play an important role in my students' success. Through assessment, I can see what they have learned and where my instruction needs to go. My students are also able to celebrate the areas they are excelling and set goals for areas they need to improve. The teacher laptop will allow me to roam the room and meet the students where they are to conduct weekly progress monitoring assessments. Being able to bring the laptop to my students to conduct the assessments allows them to get straight back into their independent work and decreases lost engagement time. The HDMI cords will allow me to connect the laptop, and teacher desktop computers to our interactive whiteboard for engaging lessons. For paper assessments, the pencil sharpener will allow my students to quickly and effectively sharpen their pencils and return to their work. The lamination sheets will allow me to create reusable material for the students to prepare for classroom assessments.

My goal is to foster a welcoming environment that meets the needs of my students.

The portable workstations will allow my students to get out of their desks to complete their work around the room. The pillows and crates will offer another flexible seating option. Flexible seating will enhance student engagement leading to their success. The book will engage my students in independent reading to practice skills I introduce whole group.
