Super Scientists Need Supplies!
Help me give my students supplies for our science experiments and to use during science class. The students love Steve Spangler Science and these supplies will be a great help during labs.
My Students
My students are amazing and work so hard. They are 6th graders in a tiny rural east Texas junior high school.
My classroom is an adventure, and my students spend the year learning the skills they will need as they move forward in their junior high careers.
My students are excited to be on the "big kid" campus and begin the scary world of junior high. They are ready to explore the world through science and social studies (world history) and to expand their way of thinking. They take so much pride in their work and are willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning. They are still wanting to "please" their teacher and try so hard at all they do.
I want to provide my students with as many exciting, hands-on, and real-world opportunities and adventures as I possibly can. Many of my students are economically disadvantaged and have limited resources. I want my students to know each and every day that they are smart, loved, cared for, and, most importantly, that they are capable of anything they set their minds to.
My Project
My students love to do science experiments but it has been hard this year due to us not being able to do group work. We are needing supplies for science experiments that my students can do individually (or I can make up kits for my virtual learners).
My students get so excited when we get to do science experiments and having individual supplies for each student would make this possible.
They learn so much more when they can actually do the experiment themselves rather than just watching me do it.
