Help me give my students supplies to support our outdoor learning this summer.

My Project

Our summer school classroom is ready to head outdoors—and we need the right tools to make that time meaningful, engaging, and comfortable for our young learners.

This project will provide hands-on materials like DIY kites, colorful beads, and drawstring bags that encourage creativity, exploration, and movement.

Students will design and build their own kites, learning about wind, motion, and basic engineering concepts in a fun and memorable way. Beads will be used for patterning activities, fine motor skill development, and creative expression, while drawstring bags will help students keep track of their personal supplies as we move between indoor and outdoor spaces.

To keep students safe and comfortable during the summer heat, we are also requesting sunglasses, beach towels, and reusable water bottles. These items will help protect students from sun exposure, give them a clean and comfortable place to sit during outdoor lessons, and ensure they stay hydrated throughout the day.

A rolling cart is an essential part of this project, allowing us to easily transport all of our materials outside. With this cart, we can seamlessly transition learning beyond the classroom walls, bringing supplies, student projects, and hydration stations wherever learning takes us.

Outdoor learning during summer school provides a unique opportunity for students to stay engaged, active, and curious. With your support, we can create an environment where students explore, create, and learn in the sunshine—making summer school a joyful and enriching experience.
