With never having taught higher than 1st I needed some resources for some reading strategies they use in 2nd that I didn't have. \r\nThis gift card allowed me to get multiple items to help my students. I work with over 40 students throughout my day and need multiple ways to reach them! I was able to get cards with pictures, small group station work, dry erase papers to use in pocket charts to review different skills. The students have really enjoyed using this table to bring reading to light.\r\nWe use this table and the magnets 3 times a week to review the phonics and phonemic awareness lessons we are focusing on. \r\n2nd grade is focusing on spelling long vowel words, so they are given cards with pictures and use the light table and magnet to spell them. \r\n1st grade is focusing on spelling cvc words and use the light table and magnets to spell them along with pictures given. \r\nKindergarten works on finding the beginning sounds of pictures and puts them next to the picture. \r\nThe students love this new project and always look forward to using it!
