The tablets will help aid in my students learning new material and increase their success in our core subjects in first grade such as spelling, phonics, and math. There are several different apps and sites that my kids will benefit from. It is hard to ensure that everyone of my students get the time they need to practice. As of right now, my classroom is only equipped with two student computers. Not every student is guaranteed to make it to that station in the week and therefore does not get the extra fluency and math practice that they need each week.
