My school is a small and diverse Title I school on the east side of Washington. My students come from various economic backgrounds, with 96% receiving free breakfast and free lunch every day. My students walk into my classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for the day.
My students are eager to learn and do their best; they want to be at school learning and being successful every day, but due to Covid-19, we will be continuing kindergarten online for the remainder of this year.
My students are creative, caring, and clever. They are learning how to make friends, share, and build lifelong learning skills in reading, math, science, and social studies to better them as they continue their education.
My Project
This has been an exciting year for my kindergarten students and their families, for most of them just beginning their first year in school. My students and families have been so resilient with many schedule changes to online learning days and times but have been so supportive.
My students and families deserve recognition for their active participation throughout a crazy school year- so I'm rewarding them with a Summer fun family bucket including squirt guns, sunglasses, otter pops, and a ring pop.
These summer fun buckets include a sand bucket and shovel students can take to the beach and play with their families.
Sunglasses are great to keep your eyes protected in the summer, and these fun, colorful ones are going to make students happy to wear them.
Squirt guns will be a fun family activity to do on a hot day together.
Otter pops are always a yummy snack to eat after a meal on a hot day, and these sour ones will be even yummier for students to eat.
I want to thank my students and families for an enjoyable year, with great family support and communication, and let them know how much I appreciate all they have done to make our year as successful as it could be.
