This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

It is my desire to engage my students with something that I enjoy doing when I'm not teaching. I wish to teach them about recipes, tasting, and experimenting with flavors as well as learning back stories of baked goods and where they originated from. While baking we will learn the importance of teamwork, life skills, and community building. Hands-on work will support the students' knowledge of baking and the science behind cooking. Students will also be learning and applying safety and sanitation, proper tool and equipment usage, basic baking terminology, and a total immersion of baking experiences.
