My Students

The students in my 1st-grade class are creative, funny, hardworking, dramatic, and encouraging to say the least. My students go on daily adventures and have grown to love these adventures they encounter through their imagination and love of reading. I am building a classroom community of lifelong readers and lovers of literature. I love how much my students come to school eager and ready to learn. They have such positive attitudes towards learning and reading. My students are also becoming socially and emotionally aware of themselves and others around them.

My Project

This project was created to give my students the same opportunity to learn as other students. Within our school we are focusing on empowering our students with the skills to become real-world problem solvers, creative innovators and respectful citizens.

These requested materials will enhance my students learning by allowing them to have the materials they need to help them be successful in the classroom.

Students will use the pencils and pencil sharpeners daily to complete activites as well as writing practice. The flower pots will be used during our life cycle unit in science when we grow our own plants, flowers, and veggies. In our classroom we have center time and the activites I create are laminated on color paper for the students to use over and over. The color paper adds excitment to the activites for the students. I will also use the storage bins for center activites and keep the students, materials, and classroom organized. The binders and sheet protectors will be used to create daily review activites for the students to have hands-on and serve as a reference guide.

I want my students to be able to have a variety of hands on activities to learn the necessary skills they need to be successful in school this year and years to come.

I would like for the remainder of the year to be magical for my students. I want them to feel like their classroom is theirs and they have something to look forward to every day.
