Studying Living Organisms

Help me give my students an amazing turtle terrarium. In second grade we study structures and functions of living organisms and a terrarium would be amazing for my students to be able to view.

My Project

Helping me to give my students a turtle terrarium, will help to increase my students' interest in studying the structures and functions of organisms. Many of my students are unable to afford pets of their own because we are a Title I school in a low-income district. This will brighten my students' day by seeing our new classroom pet while studying about their lifecycle. Students will also be able to interact with our classroom pet during the day and during our brain breaks.

In Second Grade we study structures and functions of organisms and this would be an amazing experience for my students to be able to study and learn from our very own terrarium.

My students also signed a responsibility contract explaining that they would help care for this animal daily and I would oversee everything that they did. This brought the biggest smile to my students' faces when they began talking about our new friend!
