My Project

As an Educational Audiologist, my job is to ensure students with hearing loss in my district have access to sound in their classrooms. One of the main ways to achieve this is through use of hearing assistive technology, which allows students to hear their teachers directly in their ears, regardless of how far away they are from the teacher and how much background noise is present in the classroom.

These earbuds will benefit students who do not use personal hearing devices, aka hearing aids, because they can be connected to a small receiver, and their teacher's voice will be heard through the earbuds.

This system can be used by students with varying degrees of hearing loss, temporary or permanent, at different grade levels, to give them better and more consistent access to their teachers, which results in improved focus, attention and learning!
