Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a great group of kinder through 5th graders. Our school has a dual language program, many ELL students and almost all students receive free lunch. They have great attitudes and are super kids to teach.

Anxiety can really get in the way of learning.

Many students find that weighted vests are calming and let them relax and have more fun at school. My students need more practice and repetition to learn skills. They need ways to practice that are varied and interesting to keep them motivated. Laminated sheets with dry erase markers and erasers make learning more fun than just using paper and pencil all the time.
