This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are absolutely amazing and they deserve to have a great student store with healthier options. Unfortunately, my school does not have unlimited funds and I can’t always get them the best treats. Also, healthier treats can be quite expensive. I teach a nutrition unit on the importance of healthier choices and I would like my student store to reflect that. I never give away treats, they have to earn them with great classroom behavior that earns them points. Then, they can use those points to buy store items. It’s a great system that shows them hard work pays off!
