Wearing a helmet reduces the risk of serious head injuries in the event of a fall or collision, which is especially important for students who are still developing balance, coordination, and traffic awareness.\r\n\r\nThe availability of helmets at school also removes barriers for families who may not be able to easily provide one, ensuring that all students have equal access to essential safety equipment. As a result, students are more likely to ride responsibly, follow safety expectations, and feel confident while biking. Once we received the computers, our attendance has increased to about 15-20 kids each day coming to the club. When they are here taking part in the club, rather than leaving after 10 to 15 minutes, they are all staying until they are called to go home or the club closes, which was not happening before the TVs were delivered. The students have also come in with much more excitement and positive attitudes about the club. They seem genuinely excited to compete as a team and work with one another to improve their gaming skills.\r\n\r\nOn top of all of that, we have been invited to multiple tournaments since we received the televisions. Our club is being taken more seriously now, and we have two separate esports tournaments that we have been able to sign up for and potentially bring children to. The fidgets and weighted blanket have become favorites for students who need help calming their minds before talking about their feelings or focusing on a task. The coloring books are being used during mindfulness sessions, where students can relax and express themselves creatively. \r\n\r\nStudents were so excited to see all the donations. Many were excited to try out the fidgets and play the new games. I frequently have students stopping by throughout the day to borrow fidgets for class because it allows them to keep their hands busy while their mind focuses on the material! The fan favorite, however, has been the snacks. The snacks have helped students stay focused and comfortable at school, ensuring their basic needs are met so they can fully engage in every learning activity.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students include continuing our social-emotional learning projects, where they'll set personal goals and use journaling and art activities to reflect on their progress.
