My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

Everyday I get to teach the sweetest group of first graders. My students' academic abilities range from low to high. Some students are learning to master their phonics skills, while others are being pushed beyond their current grade level standards to keep them excelling in school. My students love asking questions and come to school everyday eager to learn.

I want my amazing students to have every opportunity available to acquire a love of reading!

To be able to use a variety of teaching methods in my classroom to help them grow academically and independently would be amazing.

Studies show that students who are actively involved in learning learn more and retain more of what they have learned.

This project will provide a variety of reading and writing centers in the classroom. Students will have the opportunity to work in small groups to develop the skills needed to become fluent readers and writers.
