Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The first time the students visited my classroom on Meet the Teacher Day, the first thing they walked towards is the school computers. I knew that very moment that I needed some cameras to record them and document their learning progress. I hope to have them develop roles in the drama center.

My students come from diverse backgrounds.

They are learning to build on their first language to have a solid foundation before moving on to acquiring a second language. The students are 4-year olds that get very excited seeing themselves in action. The school is located in the Lone Star State.

My Project

The resources I request will change my students lives by giving them the opportunity to learn how to express themselves. With a digital camera and the video camera, the possibilities of documenting their work, seeing, and hearing themselves during role play will help their confidence and self-esteem.

Many of my students come from low social economic status families or single parent homes that school is their only avenue to new technology.

So, my students need your help. Thank you.
