My Project

My students are incredible, dedicated, and hard-working English Language Learners. They are more than their classification of "speakers of other languages." They are brilliant, creative, and compassionate. They also have stress and anxiety that don't stop when they walk into the doors of our school.

Soft starts provide an opportunity for students to center themselves before learning begins.

These hands-on activities allow students to take time alone or build community while preparing for the day.

My students love hashtag blocks and often challenge each other to create the most significant or outrageous structures. Our current LEGO sets have all been built, and while doing so, friendships and community were built, too.
