Storytime with Stuffies!

Help me give my students big books from a few of my students' favorite authors, and stuffed animals to make story time more tangible!

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Several times a day, my students gather on the rug for story time. We read so many stories, some longer, some shorter, some rhyming or songs, chants and poetry and reference books too. I often share a copy of our stories in the "book area" for students to read on their own during choice time or little breaks in the day.

Having stuffed animals of some of our favorite characters will help make our favorite stories come alive!

They'll read to them and also use them to act out the stories. Talking to the stuffed animals will help my multilingual learners and students with special rights feel more comfortable sharing too. My students will have so much fun interacting with stories in a new way!
