Since we are an inclusion school, I let everyone explore the items and then explained what they were for and that some kids were going to use them more than others only because they are still learning some skills that others have already learned.\r\nThen I put the items to work. \r\nI have a class of 3 year olds with profound special needs and they loved the light up board! The biggest hit though was the vibrating teether! I'm already thinking I have to set up a project for more of those!\r\nI have a 5 year old friend who has boundary and safety issues so I sat him in the middle of the compression chair and he immediately calmed down! It was magical! He sat for 30 minutes and kept his body to still! The other teachers all want a compression chair now!\r\nA 4 year old friend smiled for the first time in over a year when she held the weighted sloth! \r\nI simply can't thank you enough for your generosity!
