Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my General Art 1 classes and Crafts and Ceramics 1 classes work with a variety of art media. For my General Art 1 students, we create many projects using various types of paper. Having a storage rack to sort the different types and colors of paper would be convenient for students to take the type of paper they need without having to sort through the stacks in my closet. A rolling bin to store scraps would also be helpful for our paper cut project where students use paper scraps to create their art.

In addition, students in my Crafts and Ceramics 1 class use differently colored yarn to create yarn paintings in the Fiber Arts unit.

Having storage containers to store and clearly see the different colors of yarn would be very helpful for students to see the colors of yarn before taking what they need. This could help avoid creating tangled messes of yarn balls that happen regularly.
