My Students

I feel so fortunate that I get to continue teaching at a rural elementary school in Oregon. The school houses grades K-8, and many of the students have a long bus ride to get to school. I am excited about the fact that I get to teach these students! Smaller class sizes will allow for more individualized teaching.

This school, community, and the teachers are a family.

There is one other teacher and an aide in the school with me. I will be teaching all subjects (including P.E.) to students K-3 while my childhood friend teaches fourth-eighth. Most of our students live on ranches and attend our school for nine years.

I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity not only to teach with one of my childhood friends but to teach these students. They are kids growing up on ranches, who ride the school bus a long way just to get to school. They are hardworking students who want to be the best they can be!

My Project

I teach a K-3 classroom and the other teacher at our school teaches 4-8. We share math manipulatives and other supplies. I would love to be able to have storage containers in my classroom for my younger students.

My students have Lego's, math manipulatives, and art supplies that need storage containers for easy access.

Some of our containers are not clear and my younger students need to see what is inside of the containers to make sure they are getting the materials they need. We also have a bunch of Legos that would live happily in these containers!
