My students need snacks daily. We are an impoverished community. Providing snacks such as Cheez-It Crackers, and Goldfish Crackers will allow my students the opportunity learn without the distraction of hunger gnawing at them.

My Students
In our class, we share a vision with goals of how we want to grow together. The students' classroom Social Contract includes their desire to "strive for excellence." That is what we do, but we face the challenge of very limited resources.
In our school district, we believe in preparing our students for the 21st Century regardless of their background or circumstances.
We are a Title I school and have the highest number of ESOL students in our area. Our students are dedicated to growing as learners every single day!
My Project
Having daily snacks for my students will help to alleviate their fears and frustrations created by their hunger. I teach in a predominately impoverished community. Because of this fact, it is a daily struggle finding (funding) enough sustenance to keep them energized.
You would be amazed at how much of a difference a simple bag of Cheez-It Crackers, or Goldfish Crackers will make in the life of my boys and girls.

Research clearly shows that a hungry child will not learn. I know this fact to be true from first hand experience. I also know, from first hand experience, that the generosity from donors such as you has allowed my kids to flourish emotionally and academically.
