My Students

My students are special because they come from extremely different backgrounds, yet they learn together and love each other.

My class is comprised of a diverse group that speak several different languages, and have a huge range of social and economic differences.

Many of the children are on free/reduced-price lunch. Some of the students have already been enrolled in several different schools by the time they have reached the first grade. We live in a transient area and for many, school is the one place that is a stable and safe environment.

This is a happy group that is ready to learn!

My Project

By using fun and engaging STEM activities, students will be provided with the challenging and building skills necessary to support and stimulate their young minds. The selected STEM materials are fun, open-ended and exciting!

The STEM hands-on materials will allow students to imagine, plan, problem-solve and improve on designs!

Students will develop an interest in building and creating through engaging play activities. The materials promote reasoning skills and problem solving through creating and building both simple and more complex structures.

Hands-on construction materials allow the development of early STEM skills, like problem solving, critical thinking and even perseverance. Children will be able to use their imaginations to experiment with mechanics, sort, group, count and design.

I am so excited to watch my students as they learn and grow with these inspiring and fun learning activities!
