Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Today we know there are benefit to eating healthy fruit and vegetables. In fact, it is even better to eat organic fruits and vegetables. My students and I are helping to establish an organic orchard that will produce many types of fruit. For that, we need the appropriate tools, like hoses with spray nozzles.
By donating hoses with spray nozzles to our project, you will not only help to improve the health of our organic orchard, you will ultimately help to increase my students' knowledge in horticulture and healthy living.
In addition to eating healthy fruit, my students will also expand their knowledge and vocabulary. By simply maintaining the organic orchard, the students will increase their lexicon by being exposed to words like watering, deep-soaking, drought-tolerant, mulch, Nitrogen, pH balanced, root rot, saturation, water-wise, drip-irrigation, etc. Again, please consider helping us create a healthy organic orchard by providing us with the appropriate tools, like hoses with spray nozzles.
