Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the best! They are fun, creative, and love to learn. They are challenging and rewarding! They are funny, caring and they love school. I want to ensure they reach their true potential and provide them with access to all the materials they may need to help them to become more successful.

My Project

It is so important to have students reading on their level. These books will also help my students prepare for state tests. Some students come into my room reading at a kindergarten reading level and other come in reading at a 3rd grade reading level. This is why it is so important that I as the teacher have a wide variety of reading leveled books.

The books I requested will help me meet all types of reading levels that I see in my classroom.

Students start to develop their own interest as they learn to read. This makes it so important that I have a variety of different books in my classroom. As a child, I had a teacher that helped me to develop a love for books and I want to do the same for my students. There is nothing like picking up a good book and relaxing on the couch, I want my students to experience that same thing for years to come. Thank you for supporting my classroom.
