This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) have become a vital part of modern society. The students at my school have the drive and desire to work in STEM, but often do not have the resources.

When given the opportunity, our students rise to the occasion and prove their capabilities.

Every time we are able to participate in new experiences, they shine through and find success against all limitations.

These students deserve to have access to the resources and experiences that other students around the state often take for granted. We depend on external funding to make any of these special occasions possible. Any time we receive support, we make the most of it!

My Project

Every year, the TSA State Conference provides an eye-opening experience for students attending for the first time. Our kids are exposed to what the top STEM schools in the state have to offer, and get to have a sneak peek at many events that they never would have considered without this opportunity.

Not only is it an inspirational moment, but it also shows our students that they are capable of finding success in the face of limited available resources and prior experiences.

For the last two years, we have had students placing in competitions, and you can see the excitement explode out of the whole squad, as well as the ideas blossoming for next year.

Year after year, the kids tell us that going to state completely changed how they view TSA and STEM in general. They find creative outlets for their passions and new paths to follow in their lives. Help us make a difference and give these students the opportunity to succeed!
