My Students
Our school is comprised of hard-working teachers that try to keep our eager students engaged by creating a loving and educational environment. The epitome of hope is in the eyes of a Kindergartner. Every morning, I am honored to walk into a classroom composed of enthusiastic five-year-olds who want to learn about everything. They are engaged in every activity because they are excited to gain more of an understanding about concepts and objects that are relevant to them.
This group of students is very opinionated and creative.
They ask a lot of questions, in order to gain clarity about various topics. I want to challenge them by having a classroom full of creativity and discovery. While some of my students lack educational resources, their families support them with love and attention.
As an educator, I would like to provide a classroom filled with various educational experiences for my students in order to encourage a love of Math, Science, Music, and Reading.
My Project
Every year, I receive a new group of kindergarteners and I discover what each set of students need to succeed. My students this year need more opportunities to gain more independence and confidence while working during workstations. We are requesting coding materials, math learning centers, STEM activities, alphabet games, and storage items for these materials.
My students will develop a love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
They can use these materials to experiment and learn the fundamentals of coding. The math puzzles will allow my students to foster a love for math as they lay the foundation by gaining understanding of sequencing numbers in order. They will also utilize their creativity and wonderment when independently completing science activities.
My students will also gain a greater understanding of Language Arts concepts, while learning how to read and write. The storage and seating materials will allow my students more seating when completing these activities and allow them the ability to have easy accessibility to these materials. All of these materials will educate my students, while helping them become more independent during workstations.
