Even though it is my thirteenth year teaching, this is my fourth year teaching kindergarten. I have the task of making children fall in love with learning and give them a sense of independence. The first few weeks have been difficult because some students have attended pre-school and some have not. My job is to keep my students motivated and help them understand that most tasks will be easier. Holding scissors and pencils correctly are some of the tasks that my students face; however, they've already improved over the first two weeks! This lets me know how motivated they are. My goal is to provide these students the best classroom that will build their independence and self-confidence, while helping master the kindergarten standards.
