My Project

I am requesting new materials to help facilitate learning in our first grade classroom. I teach at a Title I school so our funding is low, but our student needs are high. Some of these items are of everyday use in our classroom that students need to keep organized or complete their work. Students need clipboards to work at their centers for independent learning. They need storage bags to organize supplies and materials like the marbles and puzzle pieces.

My goal as a teacher is to teach my students not only our curriculum but life-long skills such as the importance of being responsible for supplies and materials.

By helping me fund our new supplies, you are allowing me to help teach them responsibility as well by caring for our things. Many of our centers and items are laminated to allow them to be more durable and withstand most wear and tear from everyday use.

It's important to challenge my students with brain teasers and mental challenges with STEM activities. It allows their creativity side to expand and grow.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
