My Project

I love my students for their resilience, creativity, and determination to rebuild their futures through learning. As survivors of trafficking, they bring complex trauma into the classroom, which means they need learning experiences that are safe, engaging, and empowering. This project provides equitable access to hands-on computer science kits and essential science classroom materials that allow students to learn by doing rather than passively receiving information. The Piper Computer Kit and Smart Home Starter Kits help students build confidence through problem-solving, logic, and creativity while developing valuable technology skills. The science materials allow students to safely explore scientific concepts through structured, predictable investigations that support curiosity without overwhelm. Together, these resources create a supportive learning environment where students can build skills, confidence, and a sense of possibility for their future.
