My Students

I am lucky enough to teach first grade in a large elementary school in Southern California. We are located in the middle of a neighborhood that is bustling with kids!

My classroom is made up of 26 first graders, where we create a place of acceptance, understanding, and creative exploration for our growing minds.

The students in my class are working hard to become independent, self-motivated, and innovative thinkers! We have a lot of fun setting the foundation for a lifetime love of learning!

My Project

In our classroom, students sit at tables for their daily activities.

We do not have adequate space on the tables for students to store their supplies (pencil boxes) and have space to complete activities.

This project would provide baskets for me to attach to the bottom of their seats as a storage solution. The students would be able to store their daily supplies, as well as other important work and materials needed for our daily activities. It would also help cut down on the number of transitions we need to make daily because of having to store our supplies elsewhere in the classroom.
